My particular home had a roof with many steep peaks and was in dire need of new six inch gutters.  Originally the gutters were five inch and couldn’t contain the rush of water from our infamous VA downpours! At the ripe old age of 25 years my roof needed replacement. Some of the competitors chose to climb onto the roof to inspect it. Some used a drone and others may have used google earth.  Only two actually went into my attic and other areas in the home to see any water damage that may have occurred, and to see the type of plywood used for the roof.  Columbia inspected inside and out! I have to say that the original owners, I am the second owner, built this roof to a standard which is required in FL to withstand hurricane force damage.  Because of the steepness of my roof there was very little water damage to the plywood. Now onto the team!  I almost expected Erwin, who sounded exactly like Marco Rubio, and his team to have arrived wearing lederhosen, as my roof was as high as the Alps!  Yet they chose to wear regular jeans and shirts, and very strong harnesses to keep them safe! I was very happy to see the care they took to protect my gardens and bushes from falling debris.  And how quickly they worked. Within two days my house, gutters and all was completed, and on day three another full sweep was done to ensure every thing was cleaned. Erwin was always available and super responsive.  I had been a Contracting Officer for the Government for thirty years and have developed a sense for who is a good contractor and who may be questionable. While there are many good contractors in my area, I was very satisfied with the knowledge and eagerness to please I saw in Columbia. I have to say Columbia Contracting was right on the money!  Complements on my roof have been pouring in.  I am very satisfied with the results and you will be also should you choose to do business with them.

Design,demolition and construction all done by same company. The professional team did a fantastic job, working on some of the hottest days. So nice to have the owners on the job supervising and communicating all work. We went from tiny deck to beautiful porch, beautiful patio with a white fence installation to top it off. After removal of the old siding, some repair work was necessary before siding could be replaced, which we expected. Both the repair work and siding installation was completed with great attention to detail. Erwin (the owner) and the installers communicated each step of the way both in regards to the necessary repair and the schedule of the siding install. Working around inclement weather, the work was completed quickly and efficiently. The skilled work crew checked in with me whenever there was a question about how I wanted something done, or if there was a decision regarding repairs. I had many questions which they answered completely. They took great pride in their work and it shows. Erwin was extremely responsive and kept in touch each day. There was a small concern on work done for the gutters, but they returned promptly to correct it to my satisfaction.
